Joy Reunion 2023

About the Retreat:

Join our circle of women in Mexico this fall. Daily yoga, meditation, acupuncture, and organic meals with like-hearted women on a private beach in Sayulita. Let us gather to heal & create the conditions within us to remember, experience, and share bliss once again. We deserve to smile, to delight in nature, to listen deeply to our truth, and to live from the heart.

About the Instructors:

Emily Burton, Yoga Teacher

I am an anusara-inspired yoga teacher with over 15 years teaching experience. After living in Los Angeles for many years, I followed my heart and relocated to Northern California. Over the years I have had the pleasure of leading teacher trainings, teaching at festivals, facilitating retreats and workshops, and owning/operating my yoga studio; The Yoga Dive.

The last few years have been hard for me. Between losing my beloved husband and the Covid disaster, I lost my joy and my laughter. I am now on a path to find my light again. One of the ingredients for me is deepening my spiritual practice and creating a strong, supportive community of women that lasts through all the phases of life. This is why I am so excited for my very first all women’s retreat to Mexico!

I believe yoga should feel good and I believe we benefit by practicing together. As a teacher I offer a well-rounded class that’s grounded in a very clear heart theme or teaching principle . I focus on alignment that works for your body and I always offer modifications so that any level practitioner will feel good in my class. I also think it’s good to laugh- especially at yourself- so I try to not take myself too seriously and I do hope everyone has a little bit of fun on their mat as well.

I want to encourage you to take a break from all of your responsibilities and choose to nourish yourself with us this October. I cannot wait to reunite with joy and with you on this beautiful and incredible retreat. I hope you’ll join us! You deserve it.
