Sayulita, Mexico

A Boutique Hideaway

Welcome —

Stay

Just a short ride from Sayulita, La Joya feels entirely removed from its rhythm, a quiet place where the sound of the ocean and the stillness of the hillside set the pace.

A place to slow down, breathe, and let the rhythm of the coast take over.

Eighteen accommodations are tucked into the hillside, where jungle meets the Pacific and every space opens toward the ocean.

Designed with natural materials and Mexican craftsmanship, each room balances simplicity and warmth, with private terraces that invite you to slow down and settle in.

Restaurant and Bar

Much of the day happens around the table.

Morning begins with the smell of coffee and a simple breakfast as the first light moves across the hillside. Lunch stretches gently into the afternoon, with time slowing as the day warms. By sunset, hotel guests, friends and neighbors gather as dinner begins to take shape.

Tekuamana celebrates Mexican culinary traditions through fresh, local and seasonal ingredients, prepared with a focus on simplicity and clarity of flavour. At the bar, signature cocktails, natural wines and seasonal drinks follow the same approach, designed to be enjoyed as the day turns into evening.

Day Pass at La Joya

Pool. Beach. Lunch. Spa. Sunset.

Come for the morning, spend the afternoon between the pool and the Pacific, stop for lunch at Tekuamana, and stay for sunset.

Leave the hustle and bustle of Sayulita and experience a day of peace and tranquillity. Indulge in our hydrotherapy Spa, beachside Gym and spectacular seaside dining.

Days at La Joya.

Some days unfold slowly at the pool, with the light moving across the hillside and nothing planned beyond lunch at Tekuamana.

Others begin earlier, with the ocean — a surfboard, a short ride down the coast, and the Pacific still quiet in the morning.

There are days when the path down to the beach becomes the only plan, and others when Sayulita, its markets, hidden coves and the Sierra Madre mountains pull you outward.

And between December and March, the horizon changes — whales passing along the coast, visible from the shore or from the water itself.

“I was blown away by how beautiful this property was. The laid back design is executed so well throughout. Small enough to feel private and with little disturbance from nearby rooms.”

— A. Growchoski

“The chefs are UNREAL and made the tastiest food accommodating our vegetarian diets and the most creative cocktails.

We will continue to visit La Joya and hope to make it down there once a year not only to getaway and relax, but more so to see our new extended family. Truly love these people and want nothing but the best for them. You will not regret booking La Joya, do it now!!!”

—R. Desai

Wow, I'm at loss of words here. Everything at La Joya exceeded my expectations & blew me away! I stayed here for 4 nights, wanting to disconnect & recharge, and I'm so happy I chose this place.

This was a truly unforgettable experience, and I can't wait to return to La Joya on my next visit!

— O. AlEisa

“I'm almost tempted to gate-keep this spot as we so loved our stay at La Joya Sayulita.

The concierge, staff, and restaurant team made our stay relaxing and enjoyable.

La Joya has a quiet, secluded location with plenty of trails available nearby for running and ocean access for swimming; while being only a short golf kart ride into town for socials and fun.”
